After installing WordPress, the first thing every beginner needs to know is how to install plugins in WordPress.
Plugins allow you to add new features to WordPress, such as adding an image gallery, designing tables, and so on.

There are thousands of free and paid plugins available for WordPress users. In this guide, step by step, we will show you how to install any plugin in WordPress.
Install the plugin using the plugins directory in the control panel
The easiest way to install WordPress plugins is to use the search box and search for the plugin.
The only downside to this option is that the plugin must be in the WordPress plugin store which is only for free plugins.
The first thing you need to do is go to your WordPress dashboard and click on Plugins » Add New.

On your screen you will see a page similar to the screenshot above. Search for the extension by typing its name in the search box. Then, you will see a set of menus like the example below:
You can choose the add-on that is right for you. Since in our research, we were looking for WordPress which is used to create and manage forums, click on the “Install Now” button.
WordPress will now download and install the plugin on your site for you. After that you activate it directly.
Any plugin can be installed on your site, but it will only work if you enable it. So, you can go ahead and click on the activate button to activate the plugin on your site.
After clicking on “Activate”, the plugin you have chosen will be usable on your site.
